Our First Apartment

We’ll never forget the first place we called home. After much apartment hunting, Kaylyn and I found a very homey and perfect one-bedroom apartment on Santa Fe Village Drive. The location couldn’t be missed, just two blocks from South Coast Plaza and all our favorite restaurants. Only the other side of the 405 from Dylan’s previous house on Denver Drive. When we first signed the lease in March, we were not worried about the apartment being 750 square feet and one bedroom. What we didn’t plan for was COVID-19 and working remote upon move-in on April 1st.

Apartment G served us well during our 1.5 year stint. By the end we were itching to have more space, since we were forced to use our dining table as both our workspaces. While it was perfect for what we needed, while we needed it, it was time to move on to greener pastures. Our next stage was to move in with Kaylyn’s parents for a year to save up some money to buy a house! We will miss Orange County and California, only to visit the Wright family as much as possible, and with hopes to return again someday in the future.

Where were we…?
