The Covid-19 pandemic really threw us for a loop, we’ll just say that. Our original wedding date was April 25, 2020 but as you may recall… the world kind of imploded in March of 2020. Even though we had plans booked for a venue, flowers and all of those wedding day goodies, we had to cancel everything and reschedule to April 11th.
We knew we didn’t want to postpone, so we did everything we could to make a civil marriage possible on April 11th. First things first, we needed a marriage certificate for Utah. Seems simple enough, right? Sadly not, the county clerk offices were closing due to the pandemic so we had to make a game time decision and drive overnight to Utah and get our certificate. Good thing we did, too because if we had waited then we wouldn’t have been able to get married!
We held our ceremony at an Airbnb in Ogden with the legal limit of 8 attendees; Tim & Anne Wright, Craig & Sharri Crawford, Andy & Kristen Bingham, and lastly our officiant Mark Crosby and his wife Patti. It as small, short and sweet, with those we love!

Bride & Groom
Since we didn’t get the wedding event, we were happy to still get photos taken of us in our wedding attire! Using the photographer we had originally booked for our wedding day, we had a little photoshoot at Thanksgiving Point in Utah.

From here to eternity
Almost exactly two years to the day, on April 9th, 2022 we finally had our LDS Temple Sealing Ceremony at the temple we had the original ceremony scheduled on April 25th 2020 in Draper, Utah. Now going forward, we can celebrate our anniversary for our civil ceremony on April 11th and temple sealing ceremony on April 9th together!
After the temple, we finally got to have a celebration with friends and family. It may not have been at an official venue but it was actually at the same house that Dylan’s parents had their wedding reception in 1980!
