This was a red letter year in golf. My Dad and I completed a bucket list trip at Bandon Dunes, I set a personal record with my lowest 18-hole round, and I got to play some amazing courses in Oregon and California. This year I also started a new tradition to walk every round using a slick new push cart gifted by my parents. 27 total rounds, my goal is to beat that in 2025 and get into at least 30 rounds!

Northwest Links
Kaylyn and I live less than 5mins from The Reserve Golf Club, two great 18-hole courses with a great practice facility. Then, Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club is 20mins up the road, which is even a tier above the Reserve. My goal for 2025 is to play more of the courses in our area, even though it’s hard to beat those two.
Bandon Dunes was the climax in golf for 2024, close to the prestigious experience of golfing in Scotland in 2022. Read all about it in this post dedicated just to that trip!

Golfing thru Santa Barbara
From the ocean bluffs of Sandpiper up to the Santa Ynez valleys, there’s great golf in Santa Barbara County. Sandpiper was my home course before and during high school and its probably my favorite golf course.
I scored the lowest round of golf in my life at Soule Park Golf Club during our visit to my parents over Thanksgiving. I’ve played Soule Park quite a few times going back to high school, I’ve usually played well there and have shot under par there before, but nothing close to this. We barely finished teeing off in the dark at the end, still finding my drive in the middle of the fairway 😉
